Description
This necklace and earrings [link] set was the first piece in my Metropolis line, inspired by the modern mechanical aesthetics of the 1927 Fritz Lang masterpiece by the same name.
This line, and maybe this whole brand is turning into my exploration of the intersection between visions of our future from the past and visions of the past in our future. Although I'm not sure how much that reads in this piece.
This set features filigree with an antiques brass finish and gorgeous cobalt blue glass beads. The necklace closes with a spring clasp.

That flows nice.......I like how you punctuated it with the brass cylinders on each of the three corners. I also like the symmetrical composition that you played with especially the subtle size increase of the beads. I'm not sure how you made the center piece (was it casted?), but it looks very well done and I enjoy looking at it. The textures on it brings the form to life and adds to the three dimensional feel to it. Beads usually turn me off but you have proved me wrong here. Nice work!
